2008 so far...

This is Owen jumping on the couch. He knows he's not supposed to, but Lucky for him, McKenzie took the picture. We later found it after we uploaded the pictures and we just had to laugh.

McKenzie has taken an interest in photography. In this picture, she took a picture of SpongeBob on the TV. We find pictures like this all the time. Some are of her favorite shows, others are of random commercials.

Owen loves PB&J like Most kids. My kids have PB&J on their face everyday, all day. I am too lazy to wash their faces most of the time. Then I find peanut butter in random places and then I regret my lazy choice not to clean them up. This is kind of a goofy picture of him. I think he kind of looks like an orphan boy with his messy face and clothes. "For only 23 cents a day, you could help a child like this one..."

Here's one of the few pictures of McKenzie. Lately she has been taking all the pictures.

Well, this is my first Blog and it is almost 4:00 AM. I cannot sleep thanks to being uncomfortable because I am pregnant and Owen waking me up to sleep in my bed. I am very exhausted and ready for delivery!

Things have been pretty crazy this year and we still have 5 months left. Matt lost his job of 6 years, in January. Luckily, we knew that it was going to happen, so Matt started looking for jobs before that happened and was only unemployed for 2 weeks. We also sold our house and moved to a bigger and nicer rental home. I found out that I am pregnant the end of February- beginning of March and Matt was so excited that he started telling everyone right away.

I started off being really nauseated, like most pregnancies. Then I started blacking out, getting light headed and feeling faint. We didn't have insurance, so I wasn't able to go to the doctor right away and was unaware of why this was happening. I had a lot of help from friends and people at church watching the kids, so I could stay down and rest. The baby is also laying in an awkward position. Last week, my leg started hurting and by dinner time, I couldn't walk. That was pretty unusual for me, I've never had issues like these before. Good thing it didn't last for more than a day. When I finally was able to go to the doctor, everything seemed normal, so I was still unaware of what was wrong. Then a week later, I went in for an ultrasound and the nurse said that my blood pressure was alittle low and I just had to keep taking my iron pills. At the ultrasound, we found out that we are having a girl! We are very excited and McKenzie is glad to finally have a girl to play princesses with. The doctor also said that the baby is pretty big for how far along I am. That was no shock to me having 2 babies over 8 lbs and both being a week and a half early. I've gained 10 lbs in 1 month! Hopefully my weight gain will slow down...

Matt now is working for RC willey as an electronics and appliance salesman. He really enjoys it and wishes that he would have started there sooner. He is doing very well, dispite the bad economy right now. Matt now has to work longer hours, but when he's home, he makes the most of his time with us usually. We've walked to the park, read stories, played games and played on the wii. He wants to play volleyball with me, but with us having kids, he stays home with them. He says that when I can't play anymore, he's going to start going. I am so proud of him! He is a wonderful father and an excellent husband. I love you!

I started playing volleyball with people from church the first part of January. I still play every week, even though I am pregnant, just to have some sort of exercise. My belly is getting bigger and now I can barely jump off the ground! I also was working from home painting wooden letters for nurseries and kids rooms. I stopped doing that shortly after becoming pregnant because of my heath issues and lack of motivation. It was a great and very successful business, but I realized that McKenzie and Owen need me as a full time Mom and Matt needed his wife. (There were days that I was up until 2 AM working on getting stuff done.) I am much happier, because I now have time for the things that are most important to me.

Owen was potty trained earlier this year. Matt and I were tired of changing diapers and we wanted him to be trained before the baby came. He's now a "big boy" with cars briefs. He is also talking a whole lot better now. He has always had things to say, but no one had a clue what he was saying. Now he's talking in sentences and even sings church songs and says prayers all by himself. He's getting so big!

McKenzie started going to sunbeams in church. (the 3 & 4 year old class) She really likes it and usually plays well with all the kids. Owen and McKenzie have recently started playing really well together. It's very cute and it gives me sometime to myself. She likes to take pictures of him when he's getting into trouble. They also play on the wii together and they like to run around outside. She had her 4th birthday, the end of June. She has just grown so fast! We were supposed to have a birthday party for her on the 29th, but Owen was really sick. I felt so bad! Matt and I sang "Happy Birthday" and we had cake and ice cream with her while Owen slept. It wasn't much, but I think she liked spending time alone with us. On the 4th of July, we had a party for her with my family and on July 6th, Matt's Dad and sister came over, so she had another party. Now she thinks that it's still her birthday!

That's about it!

It's hard to tell, but Owen got into my mascara and there is still some on his eye and cheek. Of course it was the waterproof, extremely hard to get off kind, so he had mascara on his face for a couple days. I never use that mascara, because I can't even get it off myself!

I really like this picture. My kids are so cute!

Here's our mess! McKenzie took a picture of our stuff after we moved in. It took about a week before we had everything put away.

Here is Matt in his new work attire! He looks very professional.

This is me with Owen and My sister Jaime. Jaime just turned 8 and was baptized earlier this year.

Here is the baby's foot in the ultrasound picture of our baby due November 4, 2008.

Hey Matt and Kelly! You guys have a super cute family, congrats on the soon to be new arrival. I'm glad Matt got a good job. I wish I had Oliver potty tranied, but he is the youngest of 4 and really wants to just be a baby forever. We tried for a good two weeks with no success...we will try again soon. I'm sure it will happen by the time he is 16. Hope you guys are having a great summer.
